Senior Lecturer – Orthodontics

Position Summary

The Senior Lecturer in Orthodontics will be responsible for teaching undergraduate (BDS) and postgraduate (MDS) students, supervising clinical work, conducting research, and contributing to the academic and administrative development of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical demonstrations in orthodontics.
  • Supervise clinical case work, diagnosis, and treatment planning for students.
  • Participate in curriculum development and implementation as per DCI and university norms.
  • Guide and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care and clinical safety in teaching clinics.
  • Conduct and publish research in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Guide MDS thesis and dissertation work.
  • Participate in academic committees, examinations, and departmental administration.
  • Organize and contribute to CDE programs, workshops, and conferences.
  • Maintain professional development and stay updated with advancements in orthodontics.

Qualifications & Eligibility

  • BDS and MDS (Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics) from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration with the Dental Council of India (DCI).
  • Teaching and clinical experience as per DCI norms.
  • Strong communication, academic, and mentoring skills.
  • Research publications in indexed journals (desirable).
