Department of Oral and maxillofacial surgery

Students are encouraged to develop a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to treatment, and to Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a surgical specialty focusing on reconstructive surgery of the face, facial trauma surgery, the oral cavity, head and neck, mouth, and jaws, as well as facial cosmetic surgery/facial plastic surgery including cleft lip and cleft palate surgery. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialty field of dentistry that includes investigation and surgical management of various types of diseases and deformities occurring in the mouth, jaw, head and neck region. The Department offers an immersive and hands-on learning experience with the chance to observe faculty members in complex procedures and surgeries. Students work closely with other medical streams to ensure the best medical care for their patient.
