Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through adolescence. Pediatric dentists promote the dental health of children as well as serve as educational resources for parents. When treating children or individuals with special health care needs, the most important thing to keep in mind — right from the environment to the treatment plan — is designed keeping the care and comfort of the patient. This department focuses on inculcating this patient-first approach in its students. This department is primarily involved with the prevention, diagnosis, and management of oral health problems in children, adolescents, and individuals with special health care needs.
