INIZIO 2023, the much-awaited three-day cultural and sports fest at UDMRI Dehradun, was held from 31st January to 2nd February 2023, bringing together energy, enthusiasm, and extraordinary talent from across the campus. The event served as a dynamic platform for students to showcase their creativity, competitive spirit, and teamwork in a celebration that blended fun with purpose.
The festivities kicked off with vibrant cultural events, where students expressed their artistic sides through dance, music, drama, and poetry. A major highlight was the powerful and thought-provoking NukkadNatak (street play) performances, which addressed key social issues, leaving a lasting impact on the audience and reinforcing the role of art in driving awareness.
The culinary creativity of students was put to the test in an exciting No-Fire Cooking Competition, where participants whipped up innovative and delicious dishes using only raw or pre-cooked ingredients. The competition was judged on creativity, presentation, and health value, showcasing that great food doesn’t always need flames.
Simultaneously, the campus came alive with the thrill of competition during a series of sports events and indoor/outdoor games. Students competed in events such as volleyball, badminton, tug of war, relay races, and fun-filled group games, displaying true sportsmanship and camaraderie.
The grand finale on 2nd February featured the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners across cultural, culinary, and sports categories were recognized and celebrated. Trophies, medals, and certificates were awarded in the presence of faculty and dignitaries, acknowledging the hard work, talent, and dedication of all participants.
INIZIO 2023 was not just an event—it was a celebration of youthful spirit, unity, and creative expression. It reflected UDMRI’s commitment to holistic education by nurturing not just academic excellence, but also cultural awareness, social responsibility, and physical well-being.
