On 22nd January 2024, UDMRI, Dehradun proudly celebrated International Prosthodontics Day, a day dedicated to recognizing the significance of prosthodontics in restoring oral function, aesthetics, and improving the overall quality of life for patients.
The event was organized by the Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge with the objective of spreading awareness about the pivotal role prosthodontists play in modern dental care. The celebration brought together students, faculty, and clinical practitioners in a vibrant and educational environment that emphasized both innovation and compassion in dental treatment.
The day began with an inaugural session, featuring keynote speeches by senior faculty and specialists who highlighted the advancements in prosthodontic technology, the importance of precision in oral rehabilitation, and the evolving role of prosthodontists in interdisciplinary care.
This was followed by a series of academic presentations and interactive sessions, where students showcased their knowledge and creativity through case presentations, poster displays, models, and educational exhibits. These activities were designed not only to foster academic engagement but also to build confidence and clinical awareness among budding professionals.
To involve the larger campus community, awareness campaigns were conducted through posters and informative handouts, emphasizing the need for timely prosthodontic care and its impact on oral health and self-confidence.
The celebration concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where outstanding student contributions were recognized, followed by a group photo session capturing the spirit of learning, unity, and professionalism.
