UDMRI College proudly organized a Tree Plantation Awareness Drive aimed at fostering environmental consciousness among students, faculty, and the surrounding community. This initiative was part of our commitment to sustainability and promoting eco-friendly practices within and beyond the campus.
The event began with an awareness session led by environmental science faculty and guest speakers, highlighting the importance of trees in combating climate change, preserving biodiversity, and improving air quality. Attendees learned how small efforts like planting a tree can create a long-term positive impact on the environment.
Following the session, students, staff, and volunteers came together to plant saplings across the college grounds, transforming unused spaces into green zones. The plantation included a variety of native species selected for their environmental benefits and adaptability to the local climate.
