Job Purpose:
To oversee the Human Resources functions and general administration of the institute, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, smooth operational processes, and a supportive environment for faculty, staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources (HR)
* Recruitment & onboarding of teaching, non-teaching, clinical, and support staff.
* Maintain updated personnel records, contracts, and service books as per DCI/NMC norms.
* Develop and implement HR policies in line with educational and healthcare regulations.
* Manage payroll, attendance, leave records, and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.).
* Handle performance appraisals, promotions, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
* Facilitate faculty development programs and training sessions.
* Coordinate with regulatory bodies like DCI, NMC, and University HR audit teams.
General Administration
* Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the college and hospital.
* Liaise with government bodies, universities, affiliating councils, and vendors.
* Ensure proper functioning of departments such as security, housekeeping, transport, and maintenance.
* Maintain asset registers, AMC contracts, and procurement documentation.
* Support accreditation, inspections, and audits by councils like DCI, NMC, and NAAC.
* Organize official meetings, records of minutes, and follow-ups.
* Assist in campus discipline, legal compliance, and documentation control.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in HR and administration, preferably in a medical or dental college/hospital setting.
* Knowledge of healthcare education regulations, HRMS systems, and institutional policies.
