Job Summary:

The Senior Lecturer in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, supervising clinical and academic work of undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting research, and contributing to the academic and administrative development of the department. The role requires extensive clinical expertise, academic leadership, and a commitment to advancing the specialty through education, research, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning

* Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical/clinical demonstrations in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
* Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate clinical work.
* Develop and update curriculum and teaching materials in line with academic and clinical advancements.
* Mentor and support students in both academic and career-related matters.

Clinical Responsibilities

* Provide supervision in clinical settings, ensuring students adhere to the highest standards of patient care.
* Participate in clinical audit and quality assurance activities.
* Maintain licensure and practice within institutional or regulatory guidelines.

Research and Publications

* Conduct and publish original research in peer-reviewed journals.
* Guide postgraduate thesis/dissertation projects.
* Apply for research grants and participate in collaborative research initiatives.

Academic Administration

* Participate in departmental meetings and institutional committees.
* Contribute to student admissions, assessments, and examinations.
* Support accreditation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement processes.

Professional Development

* Stay updated with developments in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
* Attend and present at professional conferences, workshops, and training programs.
* Maintain memberships in relevant professional bodies.

Qualifications and Experience:

* BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) and MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from a recognized institution.
* Minimum of 5–8 years of teaching experience, with evidence of academic and clinical excellence.
* Proven record of research and publications in indexed journals.
* Registration with relevant dental council or licensing authority (e.g., DCI in India).
* Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
