Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Care & Rounds
* Provide high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care—including diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow‑up.
* Conduct regular ward rounds, supervising and teaching junior residents and interns.
2. Procedures & Technical Skills
* Perform department‑specific procedures (e.g., central line insertion, lumbar puncture, suturing, endoscopy).
* Ensure adherence to hospital protocols for safety and asepsis.
3. Teaching & Mentoring
* Guide and train junior residents and interns in day-to-day patient management.
* Lead case discussions, seminars, journal clubs, and morbidity‑mortality meetings.
* Evaluate trainees’ clinical performance and provide constructive feedback.
4. Academic Responsibilities
* Assist in organizing academic events, teaching schedules, and research presentations.
* Participate in departmental research or quality‑improvement projects; assist with data collection and paper preparation.
5. Emergency & Critical Care
* Be part of the senior resident on‑call rota; manage emergencies and critical patient care.
* Oversee transfer of critically ill patients and escalate to consultants as needed.
6. Patient Communication & Coordination
* Communicate treatment plans to patients and families; uphold informed consent practices.
* Coordinate with multi‑disciplinary teams—labs, radiology, nursing, physiotherapy, etc.
7. Quality Management & Compliance
* Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
* Participate in clinical audits, infection‑control efforts, and hospital accreditation processes (e.g., NABH).
8. Operational & Administrative Duties
* Assist in duty‑scheduling, bed‑management, and department admin tasks.
* Participate in committee meetings and departmental quality initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Medical Degree: MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in the relevant specialty.
- Residency: Minimum 3 years of experience as a resident in accredited hospital/residency program.
- Licensing: Registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or respective State Medical Council.
- Age Limit: As per Uttarakhand government or hospital policy (commonly up to 45 years, with exemptions).
