Counselling Process

Here’s a step-by-step guide to the NEET UG Counselling process specifically for BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) admissions in Uttarakhand:

Step 1: Registration for Counselling

  • Visit the Official Website: Candidates must go to the official website of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) https://www.hnbumu.ac.in/
  • Create a New Account: Register as a new user by entering details such as NEET UG roll number, application number, name, date of birth, and security pin. Confirm these details to create login credentials.
  • Login: Use the login credentials to access the counselling portal.
  • Non-Refundable Registration Fee: Pay the registration fee online. The amount may vary based on the category (UR, SC/ST/OBC) and the type of institution (government/private).
  • Refundable Security Deposit: Pay a refundable security deposit to secure a seat. This fee is refundable.

Step 2: Choice Filling and Locking

  • Choice Filling: Select your preferred BDS colleges and courses from the available list. This step is crucial as it determines the seat allotment.

Step 3: Seat Allotment

  • Round 1 Allotment: Seats are allocated based on NEET scores and the filled preferences. The results are published on the official counselling portal.
  • Round 2 and Mop-Up Round: Candidates who did not get a seat in the first round or wish to upgrade can participate in subsequent rounds by registering again and filling new choices.

Step 4: Submission of tuition fee

  • The student shall submit their 1st year tuition fee (prescribed amount) on the appropriate platform.

Step 5: Document Submission

Submit necessary documents such as:
  • Seat allotment letter
  • NEET score card 2024
  • Class 10 and 12 Mark sheets
  • Admit card of NEET 2024
  • Migration certificate
  • Domicile(if applicable)
  • Adhar card
  • Pan card etc.

Step 6: Reporting to Allotted Colleges

  • Download Allotment Letter: If a seat is allotted, download the allotment letter from the portal.
  • Physical Reporting: Report to the allotted college with original documents for verification and confirm the admission by paying the required fees.

Important Notes:

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have qualified NEET UG and meet the eligibility criteria set by HNBUMU for BDS courses.
  • Counselling Rounds: The counselling process typically includes three rounds, including a mop-up round to fill any remaining seats.
  • Documentation: It’s crucial to carry original documents and their photocopies during physical reporting for verification.
